PlusBus in Cheshire
Who can use the service?
Only registered members can use the service. To qualify for membership, you need to be unable to use the local bus service, whether due to age, illness or injury.
When does it operate?
The service is available between 9am and 11pm on Mondays to Saturdays, or 9am and 6pm on Sundays; all bookings are subject to availability, however. There may be different operating hours on bank holidays and around Christmas.
Where do journeys go to?
Journeys can be made between any two points within the Chester and Ellesmere Port areas, including many of the surrounding villages.
How much does it cost?
The single fare is £2 per adult and £1.35 per child, however if you have a concessionary bus pass this will apply as normal. Charges apply to all passengers, including escorts.
How are bookings made?
Bookings can be made by calling 0151 357 4420 between 9am and 4:30pm on weekdays (not bank holidays), or by emailing .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Requests can be made between one and seven days in advance of travel.
How is the service funded?
The PlusBus service receives significant financial subsidy from Cheshire West and Chester Council.
