In 2007, ECT was awarded a contract to deliver door to door transport services in the Chester, Ellesmere Port and Neston areas. This involved setting up an entirely new transport operation. Our expertise and proffesional approach are appreciated by passengers and local authority partners in Cheshire.
As a social enterprise, ECT has taken the opportunity to apply our understanding of the needs of current and potential service users. Our scheduling expertise has yielded impressive results with a 39% increase in trips in the first year of operation.
Within a year, ECT's Cheshire operation has won a number of awards including ‘Best Urban CT Operator' by the Community Transport Association UK and Best Business Start up supported by the North West Regional Development Agency.
