Dorset Community Transport
Our Local Operation…
On 5September 2011, ECT launched a new operation in the south-west, Dorset Community Transport! With a fleet of around thirty vehicles (over a third of which are wheelchair accessible), Dorset Community Transport will provide a number of services on behalf of Dorset County Council, including home-to-school transport and local bus routes. Our main depot is based in Blandford Forum, but we operate across the county and have a local team of supervisors.
Home-to-School Services...
We run services to a range of schools, including nine vehicles serving Yewstock School in Sturminster Newton. The routes and times are set by Dorset County Council, who are also responsible for deciding which pupils qualify for transport. Please contact the Council directly if you want your son or daughter to be added to a passenger list.
Local Bus Routes...
Our local bus services are numbers 14, 97, 104, 275, 316, 317, 320 and 688. Many of these services are market-day only routes, but the 104 runs every day apart from Sundays and bank holidays, providing links in the Lulworth area. Please check the Dorset for You website for full timetables.
Group Transport...
We can provide minibuses (with driver) for local community, voluntary and not-for-profit groups, for either local journeys or trips further afield. Our charges start from just £60, and we'd be delighted to provide you with a quote and to explain how your group can become a member of Dorset Community Transport.
