PlusBus in Milton Keynes
Who can use the service?
Only registered members can use the service. To qualify for membership, at least one of the following criteria needs to apply;
- Aged 80+
- Holder of a blue badge issued by Milton Keynes Council
- In receipt of specified benefits
- Registered blind
Please note that, due to current funding and capacity restrictions, new members cannot be registered at present. Individuals may wish to consider the MK Connect service instead.
When does it operate?
The service is available between 8am and 10pm on weekdays, or 8:40pm and 5pm on weekends; all bookings are subject to availability, however. There is no service on bank holidays.
Where do journeys go to?
Journeys can be made between any two points within the Milton Keynes Council area, including Hanslope, Olney and Woburn Sands.
How much does it cost?
From Saturday 25 June 2011 the fares are set at £1.50 for a single trip and £2.65 for a return journey. Charges are per person and apply to all passengers, including escorts.
How are bookings made?
Bookings can be made by calling 01908 266950 between 9am and 3pm on weekdays (not bank holidays), or by emailing .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). Requests can be made between one and seven days in advance of travel.
How is the service funded?
The PlusBus service receives significant financial subsidy from Milton Keynes Council.
