PlusBus
Our PlusBus services provide door-to-door transport, and are aimed at those who find it difficult to use the local bus service. Most of our vehicles are accessible, and can take a range of wheelchairs and scooters, and our drivers are trained to nationally recognised standards.
PlusBus is aimed at individuals making local journeys: if you need to travel as a group, please have a look at our Group Transport service; if you'd like to go further afield, you may find our Day Trips to be of interest.
Who can use the service? The exact criteria for membership vary depending on the local arrangements, but essentially PlusBus is aimed at people would cannot use the local bus service.
How much do trips cost? Again, the fares vary depending on the local arrangements, as many PlusBus services receive financial subsidy. We aim to keep fares as low as possible, but unfortunately the costs of providing transport (maintenance, insurance, diesel, etc) can be quite high.
How can I book a trip? Generally, trips can be booked either one or three weeks in advance (depending on the area) and the more notice you give, the more chance there is of us being able to help. We don't normally take bookings on the day of travel.
