Indy Purewal: Operations Manager (Ealing)
Indy joined ECT in 1993, and has gained comprehensive knowledge & experience of group and individual transport services. She initially worked part time on the plusbus services, coordinating 5 plusbuses across the Borough of Ealing, 7 days/week transporting up to 30,000 people/year at its peak. During this time, Indy also managed the Out and About scheme with volunteer drivers.
In 2001, Indy did a 3 month placement with Sure Start in South Northolt to help set up and launch the Sure Start plusbus service. In 2002, Indy was amongst the first people in the UK to undergo PATS Training. Over the years, Indy has developed as the organisation has grown.
As Operations Manager, Indy is responsible for community transport services in Ealing including group transport, home to school transport and the plusbuses. She manages nearly 50 staff, 350 volunteers, and 300 community groups.
