First funding cuts hit ECT
Like everyone, ECT is apprehensive about the national spending review that will take place in October, and we've already felt the initial tremors from this. In early August, it was confirmed that the abolition of the South East England Development Agency will mean the end of funding for our MK Connect service in Milton Keynes. We're working with the project officers to find the best way forward, and there is some limiting funding already committed that will be protected, however it will undoubtedly have an impact on the service in the longer-term. At the moment, MK Connect will operate unchanged, and we'll provide more details in the autumn.
